Ballet Arizona is the Southwest’s premiere Ballet company offering classical and contemporary ballet performances, and is dedicated to preserving and celebrating classical dance while creating and commissioning new innovative works.

The Company includes a corps of 34 dancers, under the artistic direction of Ib Andersen. A year-round staff of over 20 provides administrative, production, marketing, communication, and developmental support.

The School of Ballet Arizona is seeking to hire a part-time accompanist. Accompanists support the School faculty in presenting ballet classes as scheduled and preparing appropriate music for classes and/or rehearsals as requested by the School Director. Pianists with experience accompanying ballet classes are preferred, but the School is willing to train qualified applicants. For a detailed job description, click here. Nutcracker Youth Audition

Youth roles for Ballet Arizona’s production of The Nutcracker are available to children between the ages of 9-18. Auditions are open to all ballet student levels.

Auditions will be held September 7th, 2014 at Ballet Arizona Studios located at

Please fill out the registration form prior to the audition.
Registration begins one hour prior to scheduled audition time.
Registration fee is $15 for non-SBAZ students and SBAZ students are free of charge.
You may pay the registration fee online prior the audition.

Audition times
Boys (ages 9-18, or SBAZ Level 3) 9:30am-10:00am
SBAZ/ ASA girls (ages 9-12, or SBAZ Level 3) 10:00am-10:30am
Open audition girls (ages 9-12) 10:30am-11:00am
SBAZ/ ASA girls (ages 13-18, or above 5’0) 11:00am-11:30am
Open audition girls (ages 13-18, or above 5’0) 11:30am-12:00pm
All auditioning should be available to stay additional time on the day of the auditions.
