The Company includes a corps of 34 dancers, under the artistic direction of Ib Andersen. A year-round staff of over 20 provides administrative, production, marketing, communication, and developmental support.

Prima Circle and Planned Gifts Manager

Ballet Arizona is seeking a full-time Prima Circle and Planned Gifts Manager.
Overview: Ballet Arizona is seeking a Prima Circle and Planned Gifts Manager. This position is responsible for the management and implementation of a results-driven major and planned giving program supporting Ballet Arizona’s fund development goals. The Prima Circle and Planned Gifts Manager must be skillful in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors for ongoing major giving and other targeted fundraising efforts, and must be knowledgeable about major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, and other significant areas of fundraising including new donor acquisition, direct mail, special events, and grant proposals.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• CFRE preferred, minimum 5 years of development or comparable experience, with some planned giving and campaign experience demonstrated.
• Demonstrated experience and success in the solicitation of contributions of $10,000 or more from individuals and organizations.
• Experience with gift and pledge processing, prospect research, reporting, and donor acknowledgment, benefits and recognition programs, especially as they pertain to a performing arts organization.

Accompanist, School of Ballet Arizona

Accompanists support the School faculty in presenting ballet classes. Working closely with the Director of the School, the Accompanist will fulfill the following responsibilities consistent with the established artistic standards of Ballet Arizona. We are seeking to fill one or more positions effective June 3, 2013.
Overview: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Accompany ballet classes as scheduled; be available as a substitute accompanist.
• Prepare appropriate music for classes and/or rehearsals as requested by the School Director.
• Accompany for School and Arizona School for the Arts activities.
• Attend staff meetings as required by the School Director.
Essential Skills and Experience:
The most qualified candidates would be skilled pianists with experience accompanying ballet classes for a professional dance company or school of dance. The School will be willing to train qualified pianists without specific ballet class experience.
