Teachers and Educators
Ballet Arizona in collaboration with Arts Integration Solutions has created a comprehensive study guide to enhance the student’s experience by providing ballet history and terminology, trivia, the production synopsis and music, along with lesson plans that will integrate dance with math, science, and language arts. This study guide will also give teachers the tools necessary to present a thorough understanding of the ballet to their class and create cross-curricular ties.
A pre and post survey is provided to help Ballet Arizona evaluate our educational programs.

We Want Your Art!
Ballet Arizona would love to share your student’s original artwork.
Along with their written responses, students can include their artwork, inspired by the presentation they attended. Please have your students create their artwork on 8.5″ x 11″ white paper in full color. Once submitted, these art pieces will become the property of Ballet Arizona and may appear on our Website, in publications, and may be used in our annual state report as well as displays we create throughout the year. Your student’s name, grade level, teacher and school should be included on the back so we may properly identify them.
Study Guide Collaboration
Ballet Arizona is an innovative and provocative professional ballet company that creates, performs, and teaches outstanding classical and contemporary ballet. The company is dedicated to preserving and celebrating classical dance while creating and commissioning new innovative works. Ballet Arizona is dedicated to serving the people of central Arizona through Education and Outreach programs, which touch the lives of more than 35,000 children each year.
Arts Integration Solutions is a nonprofit whose mission is to bring the classroom practice of arts integration to every child, every day, helping them succeed in math, science, lteracy…and life. To do this we provide professional development for teachers and school teams (intensive trainings such as Arts Integration for STEM, Arts Integration for Literacy, and Arts Integration for the Common Core). We work with partner schools (throughout the school year, over two or three years) to facilitate development and implementation of a school-wide arts integration plan. We also work with community partners such as Ballet Arizona to help bring our rich arts, cultural and science resources into more classroom lessons.
