Belinda Irving began her ballet training in Worcester, Massachusetts with the Worcester Youth Ballet where she trained and performed under former American Ballet Theater Principal Dancer, Jeremy Collins, and former Boston Ballet Company Member and Boston Ballet School Director, Dierdre Miles-Burger. During the summers she trained at Boston Ballet and at David Howard’s Summer Dance Intensive. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College, where she studied French and Dance. At Bard College, Belinda was choreographer and soloist for the student-led ballet company, Annandale Ballet. In 2007, Belinda moved to Phoenix to teach first grade through Teach for America. After teaching first grade for two years, Belinda returned to her first great passion, ballet. Belinda currently dances with Convergence Ballet Company and with Terpsicore Dance Company in Phoenix, and has danced as a guest artist for Yuma Ballet Theater in The Sleeping Beauty as Aurora, and in The Nutcracker as Chinese. She is currently an Adjunct Professor of Ballet at Mesa Community College, and is in the Children’s program at The School of Ballet Arizona.
