Joined Ballet Arizona: 2013
Catherine trained for 8 years at Canada’s National Ballet School and after graduating began her professional career with The National Ballet of Canada under Artistic Director Erik Bruhn. Her repertoire as a dancer covers a full spectrum of full-length classical ballets, including Swan Lake, Giselle, La Sylphide, The Nutcracker, Coppelia and Rudolf Nureyev’s Sleeping Beauty, which he set on the dancers and performed in while Catherine was in the company.
Catherine has taught ballet in Canada and in Los Angeles, most recently at the Kova Ballet Conservatory in Beverly Hills and is also the Co-Producer and Director for the soon to be aired, feature documentary CURTAIN UP – Growing up in Dance.
Trained in ballet, modern, jazz, character and flamenco dance, Catherine emphasizes the importance of a solid ballet technique, strong musicality and the love of movement and physical expression as the base for all forms of dance to flourish from. Catherine is also a certified yoga instructor.
This is Ms. Haders’s third year teaching at The School of Ballet Arizona.
