Gleidson began dancing at the age of 10 at Studio Arte Danca under Adriana Gonzalvez were he learned the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, modern dance and jazz. At age 13 Vasconcelos joined Sesi Minas Dance Company where he toured extensively throughout the country of Brazil. In 2003 Gleidson enrolled at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida on a full Scholarship. Gleidson joined Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 2005 and performed roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Messiah, The Magic Flute, and Dracula. Since joining Ballet Arizona Gleidson has toured with Ballet Arizona to perform Balanchine’s “Rubies” (from Jewels) at The Chicago Dancing Festival and Andersen’s Play at The Joyce Theatre in New York City. Gleidson has enjoyed competing internationally and holds the title of World Ballet Champion and Gold Medalist for his outstanding performance at the World Ballet Competition.
