Junxiong trained at Shanghai Yuandong Ballet School in China before coming to the United States to study on scholarship at The Washington School of Ballet where he trained with Kee Juan Han and Carlos Valcárcel.  Junixong has competed in the Youth America Grand Prix in 2009 and 2011 and in the Helsinki Ballet Competition where he placed 3rd. In 2010 Junxiong joined the Washington Ballet’s second company where he performed roles in Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty. Since joining Ballet Arizona in 2012, Junxiong has performed in George Balanchine’s “Rubies” (from Jewels) at The Chicago Dancing Festival and at Ballet Under the Stars
