Lauren is from Tucson, Arizona and began her ballet training at the Academy of Ballet and Tucson Regional Ballet, both directed by Linda Walker. She attended summer intensive programs at: The School of American Ballet, as well as, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Houston Ballet, and School of Ballet Arizona (all on full scholarship). In 2011, Lauren received a full scholarship to study year round at the Houston Ballet Academy, as a company member of Houston Ballet II, where she trained with Sabrina Lenzi and Claudio Muñoz. While with Houston Ballet II, Lauren had the opportunity to perform internationally in Lausanne, Switzerland and Toronto, Canada. In 2013, she returned to Arizona to finish her final year of training at SBAZ, where she had the honor of performing the Principal role in Paquita before joining Ballet Arizona in 2014. Some of Lauren’s favorite ballets she has performed thus far with Ballet Arizona include; Ib Andersen’s La Bayadare, Swan Lake, and the U.S. Premiere of Napoli. She has also enjoyed performing George Balanchine’s Episodes, The Four Temperaments, Western Symphony, Walpurgisnacht, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, and Rubies, as well as, the premiere of company dancer, Nayon Iovino’s, Resonance.
