Training: Continental Ballet, School of Music at Indiana University
Michelle received her early training at the Continental Ballet Company under Riet Velthuisen, and later training at School of Music at Indiana University where she studied under Violette Verdy, Jaques Cesbron, Glenda Lucena, and Gouping Wang. Since joining Ballet Arizona in 2006 Michelle has originated featured roles in Ib Andersen’s Play, 1052, Dance of the Hours, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream . Michelle has performed principal roles in August Bournonville’s Flower Festival in Genzano, Jerome Robbins’s In the Night, and Andersen’s The Nutcracker (Sugar Plum Fairy); and soloist roles in Swan Lake, Napoli, The Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia Don Quixote, Les Sylphides, Raymonda, and Balanchine’s Apollo, Divertimento No. 15, La Valse and The Four Temperaments.
