Storme Sundberg is a dance and theater artist from New York City where she was hailed by the New York Times as “bewitching” and “a fixture in the downtown dance scene,” by Time Out New York. She completed her M.F.A. in Dance at the University of Washington and holds a BA in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo where she danced with Pick of the Crop in works by David Parsons, Marcus Schulkind, Gail Gilbert, Mark Dendy, and Jose Limon. Storme’s work was presented at the Joyce Soho, Judson Church, Roulette, The Flea, and Galapagos Art Space as well as in theater, video, and film projects. A long time member of Jordan Fuchs Dance, has also danced for Christopher Williams, Rebecca Lazier, Noemie LaFrance, and Meredith Monk among a bevy of noted choreographers. In Seattle, she was a member of the Chamber Dance Company appearing in the works of Twyla Tharp and Doug Varone. Storme has taught in the pre-professional programs at the 92nd St Y/Harkness Dance Center and the Ballet School of Stamford, where she also served as the coordinator of outreach education programs. Most recently, she taught all levels of ballet and modern dance at the University of Washington.
