COVID-19 Cancellation Information

Of all the challenges we’ve faced over the years, nothing has seemed to test our community as deeply and intensely as the COVID-19 crisis. There’s much we could say about the severity of the situation and the pressing concerns non-profits like Ballet Arizona now face, but instead, we’d like to bestow a small reminder.

With a heavy heart, Ballet Arizona has had to cancel our All Balanchine (May 7-10, 2020) and An Evening at Desert Botanical Garden, The Four Seasons (May 19- June 6, 2020) performances.

Please contact Ellen Bialek at ebialek@balletaz.org or at 602.343.6517 to discuss your cancelled ticket options and we will be happy to assist you. All orders still undecided beyond May 1, 2020, were considered to be a donation to Ballet Arizona, a 501c3 non-profit organization. If donating your tickets was not your intention, please consider continuing your support by applying its value as a credit toward a future performance in our upcoming season.

As a non-profit arts organization, Ballet Arizona depends on the generosity of our patrons and donors. We have sustained a significant loss of revenue as a result of COVID-19, as have many other arts organizations. We continue to plan for our 35th anniversary season and look forward to hosting you and your friends when the time comes. We have also extended our subscription renewal deadline to June 30, 2020 to be more flexible for our patrons during this time.

Ballet Arizona is your ballet company and we are in this together. Though we are living in a difficult chapter of history, we know we will come out of this stronger and more resilient than ever. We hope that all the hard work we’ve done together bringing dance to the desert and building up our community has earned your trust and that you’ll continue to support us during this crisis. Ballet Arizona, like all our friends in the Arizona arts community, needs your support now, more than ever. Let’s remember that these times shall pass, but we will still be here to serve you, our audience, our patrons, our students, and our community.
