The School of Ballet Arizona Presents Coppélia

Performance

April 3 - April 5, 2020
at Dorrance Theatre

**Following the decision of Governor Doug Ducey and the Arizona Department of Education to close Arizona schools through March 27, 2020, the School of Ballet Arizona will cancel classes for all school year programs through that date. As a result. the School of Ballet Arizona’s upcoming production of Coppélia will not take place as scheduled. We are exploring opportunities to present this at a future date. **

Presented by The School of Ballet Arizona’s Upper Division & Studio Company in the Dorrance Theatre, Ib Andersen’s Coppélia tells the story of an eccentric toy-maker, life-size dancing dolls, and a young couple in love. Love triumphs over all in this beloved ballet, with amusing mix-ups and costumed dolls come to life.

This performance demonstrates the School’s remarkable accomplishments and gives audiences the rare opportunity to experience a performance by the next generation of Ballet Arizona.

The School of Ballet Arizona’s Upper Divison and the Studio Company offer performances during the season which demonstrate the accomplishments of the next generation of Ballet Arizona. Students from primary to pre-professional perform works choreographed for professional companies and ballets specially created for them to showcase their amazing talent and training.
