*We have recently updated our mask policy. Please scroll down to to read updates.

Where do The Four Seasons and Swan Lake performances take place?

The performance takes place at the Schilling Events Plaza, located east of the main visitor parking lot of the Desert Botanical Garden. To access the Schilling Events Plaza, you do not need to enter the Garden’s main entrance. It is northeast of the main entrance. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Can I access Desert Botanical Garden prior to the performance?

Yes! Your ticket to The Four Seasons or Swan Lake also grants you access to explore the Desert Botanical Garden on the day of the show. Walk-up ticket holders are accepted.

Is there free parking?

Yes, free parking is available at Desert Botanical Garden. The performance site is at the far east side of the parking lot. There will be signs and volunteers to point you in the right direction.

Are we required to wear a mask?

Ballet Arizona continues to monitor and follow CDC health and safety guidelines. In light of the recent release of new CDC guidelines regarding mask wearing outdoors, Ballet Arizona has revised its health and safety measures for The Four Seasons (or Swan Lake).

Patrons attending The Four Seasons (or Swan Lake) may remove face coverings if they are able to maintain social distancing from others not in their party.

Face coverings are still required in the following areas:

  • Upon entry/exiting the venue and in any line
  • When interacting with Desert Botanical Garden or Ballet Arizona staff or volunteers
  • When using our restroom facilities
  • When inside any Desert Botanical Garden facility
  • When unable to social distance

Will there be food (and alcohol) available?

Yes! A gourmet picnic menu will be available for purchase including beer, wine and non-alcoholic refreshments.

Please note – food and beverages are not included in your ticket price.

Also located in the garden is Gertrude’s Restaurant. Reservations through OpenTable are highly recommended.

There will be no outside food or drink allowed inside the performance.

What is the seating like at the performance? Will I be sharing a table with other patrons?

No, we will only be sitting 1 party per table. Also, in conjunction with the City of Phoenix and HealthyVerify, Ballet Arizona has updated its Desert Botanical Garden seat map to include new socially distanced seating measures. These changes include:

  • All tables will be on the ground level (there will be no elevated seating)
  • Increased distance between tables
  • More tables to eliminate different parties sitting together at the same table
  • Assigned two-person pod seating in what was traditionally our general admission section
  • Riser section will be assigned seating rather than general admission

As a result of these changes, there is a two-ticket minimum purchase for this year’s performances.

If table seating is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?
