Upper Division Summer Intensive

Upper Division Summer Intensive

June 9 – July 11, 2025

Elevate your ballet training to new heights with five immersive weeks packed with intensive classes and insights from esteemed faculty with a variety of guest dance experts. Experience the vibrancy of Phoenix living while honing your skills in ballet technique, pointe work, variations, and a kaleidoscope of dance forms, all with the support of the Ballet Arizona family.

The Summer Intensive provides dedicated ballet students with top-tier classical training, complemented by a broad range of dance styles essential for success in today’s diverse dance world. Additionally, Ballet Arizona Studio Company members are selected directly from this program.

The School of Ballet Arizona’s Summer Intensive spans five weeks of rigorous instruction and welcomes students of intermediate and advanced levels (ladies currently training on pointe; SBAZ: Level 5 and above). Under the guidance of internationally acclaimed faculty, including members from prestigious companies like Dutch National Ballet, Zurich Ballet, Ballet de Camagüey of Cuba, Kansas City Ballet, The Washington Ballet, National Ballet of Caracas, Ballet de Monterrey, and Philadelphia Ballet, students will make significant progress in both technique and artistry.

Beyond intensive training, students experience life in Phoenix and become part of The School of Ballet Arizona community. Classes are held five days a week and cover a comprehensive curriculum, including ballet technique, pointe, men’s technique, variations, Pilates, modern (Horton), contemporary, choreography, improvisation, character, dancer wellness, and more. The program offers a well-rounded approach to developing the versatile skills required for today’s professional dancers.
