Summer Intensive 2014

June 16  – July 25, 2014

The Summer Intensive offers serious ballet students the highest caliber of intensive classical training, augmented by a rich diversity of dance forms necessary to meet the eclectic demands of dance companies today.

School of Ballet Arizona’s summer program offers six full weeks of intensive classes. Our program offers students ages 10 + the opportunity to make advances in technique and in the way they dance as they are taught by internationally renowned faculty from The Stuttgart Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet de Camagüey of Cuba, The Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Cuba , The National Ballet of Canada and The Pennsylvania Ballet! 

Our summer intensive gives students a real feel for Phoenix living and what life is like with the School of Ballet Arizona family. Students will have classes 5 days a week as well activities during the weekends. Courses offered are ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, men’s technique, variations, repertory and BAZ’s repertory, men’s conditioning, dance history, flamenco, strength and conditioning, modern, jazz, zumba, and choreography.  Tuition for the six week intensive is $2,100.

Dorms for Upper Division Summer Intensive:

SBAZ draws students from all over the country and is proud to announce Arizona State University housing provided for our summer students (ages 13 +).

Location: Arizona State University Downtown Campus Taylor Place Dormitory at 120 E Taylor St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 Amenities: Double occupancy rooms, laundry facilities, small kitchenette in common area, bathrooms vary from private, suite-style and single gender community style bathrooms Transportation: Housing located on local bus and light rail routes Supervision: School staff will stay on sight 7 days a week
Cost:  $2,125 This includes mini microwave/fridge in room.  This does not include meals, transportation or activities.
