Parking Updates

Ballet Arizona is embarking upon a very exciting facility improvement project that will bring covered solar parking to our lot! The benefits are many – sustainable energy production, significant cost-savings, shaded parking, and exciting funding opportunities – and we are so excited to be able to share the fruits of this project with you.

We will begin construction of this structure on July 22nd, and the projected completion date is the end of August.

Here’s what you need to know:

This timeframe was thoughtfully chosen with our customers and our people in mind.

The end of July into early August offers an opportunity to complete the majority of construction when dancers and school families are not at the building. Between Summer Intensive ending and the School Year beginning, things quiet down at the facility for about 2 weeks. We know that construction in the lot will impact everyone and tried to be as careful as possible when planning the disruption.

Parking will be limited during the construction period.

During the initial phase of the project, all parking spots on the East side of the building will be blocked for equipment and construction areas. During this time, parking will only be available in the north and south lots. Please plan to arrive with ample time to find parking and try to carpool when/if this option is available to you.

Additional overflow parking will be available as described below:

During Business Hours (M-F, 9-5)

  • Park along 29th Street in unrestricted areas, following all posted signs
  • Park in the open spots along the fence across the street from Whitewater. Be careful NOT to park in front of the gate and obey all posted signs.
  • DO NOT park in the parking spots that are directly adjacent to Northwest Pump.

Nights (M-F, after 5pm) & Weekends

In addition to the above options,

  • Park in Whitewater’s parking lot
  • Park in Northwest Pump’s parking lot

DO NOT PARK IN THE PAINTBALL OR VOLLEYBALL PARKING LOTS.

When available, you may request Security to escort you to your car in the afternoon/evening.

Ballet Arizona has a security guard onsite Monday – Friday from 3pm – 11pm. If you have parked down the street or in an overflow lot and would like to be escorted to your vehicle, please request an escort from the guard on duty.

Parking will begin to open up as the construction occurs.

During early construction, equipment will be stored in the East parking spots closest to the building while construction occurs in the spots closest to the street. The East parking spots closer to the building will then open up for usage once the early construction is finished and the equipment is relocated.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Alexandra Sarver (apapazian@balletaz.org), Director of Operations.
