2020 has proven to be both difficult and uncertain for all. These challenges are felt by parents juggling work from home and making sure their children adapt to virtual learning, and by small and local businesses struggling to stay open. But one truth we have all learned is that we are resilient, and together, we can shine a light in the darkest of times. Because of these efforts, Ballet Arizona has been able to perform for small groups in our Dorrance Theatre, bring two productions to the digital stage, and continue to employ the dancers, staff and faculty that keep our organization strong.
In the past, our gala has been a night to remember: dressing up, experiencing an in-person performance, and closing out the night on the dance floor with our dancers. Today, we ask that you continue to support our gala by donating a table or providing financial support through underwriting the costs to extend the experience virtually, as well as support our many education and community engagement programs, scholarships, dancers and more. With your support, Ballet Arizona can continue to train dancers and students, cultivate the performing arts, and prepare for the time when we will emerge from this pandemic and resume more traditional live performances. Your financial support will complement the funding bridge made possible by Jacquie Dorrance and other generous supporters to date. It is critically important that we emerge from the darkness in full health in the spring and summer.
