Jacquie Dorrance, a devoted mother and grandmother, born in Caracas, Venezuela, has for years dedicated her public life to bettering the lives of others. She does this as a leader in the philanthropic community and by guiding philanthropic investment in projects that will serve future generations. The breadth with which she and her husband Bennett Dorrance, and their family, have dedicated their charitable activities is indeed extraordinary, spanning natural resource conservation, education, arts and culture, science, and medical research.
Jacquie served on the Ballet board for the past 6 years during a time of tremendous growth and change for the organization. She led the charge as cabinet co-chair for the Next Step capital campaign successfully raising $13 million for the new Ballet Arizona Center for Dance. She moved the organization into its future.
Jacquie is very active with The Dorrance Family Foundation as founder and board member and is directly involved with Arizona State University as Honorary Chair of the President’s Club, Barrow Women’s Board, Steele Memorial Children’s Research Center (PANDA), TGen’s Center for Rare Childhood Diseases (C4RCD), The Nature Conservancy, and several arts and culture organizations including the Phoenix Art Museum and Desert Botanical Garden.
