Do I need to enroll or sign up ahead of time?
Not at all, as this is an open program. Simply come to the class when you’d like and sign in at that time. Your first time taking the class will only involve completing a one-page basic information form.
Is there a dress code?
For Ballet, we do ask that you wear ballet slippers for the ballet class. Ladies need to have their hair in a bun, neat and off the face. Men also need to have their hair off the face as well. You may wear a leotard and tights or anything exercise-related that is comfortable that you can move in. For men that wear tights, a dance belt is required.
Creative Movement: Students may wear that is comfortable that you can move in.
Dance for PD: Students may wear that is comfortable that you can move in and supportive shoes are recommended (tennis shoes).
Adaptive Dance:
Boys: Black Bike Shorts, White T-shirt, white crew socks and white ballet slippers, hair neat and off the face
Girls: Black leotard, light pink tights or black bike shorts, pink ballet slippers, hair up in a bun, neat and off the face.
For Flamenco, Character shoes are recommended. You may take class in other dance shoes as well. To take class with flamenco shoes, they first are to be approved by the faculty.
For ATS® Belly Dance, appropriate dress includes full skirt or yoga pants, short top, tank top, or leotard (wear something comfortable that conforms to your body so you can see yourself move), and optional hip scarf. You may take class in your bare feet or wear dance shoes. Hair must be tied up off the face and neck.
For Jazz, jazz shoes are recommended, but not required.
For Modern, you may take class bare-footed or with ballet/jazz shoes.
