Featured Ballets

La Valse

Choreography by George Balanchine (1951)

Music by Maurice Ravel

Experience the grandeur of La Valse, often described as “a choreographic poem.” Featuring the moody and mysterious score by Ravel, let Ballet Arizona waltz you through one of Balanchine’s most sumptuous works.

Prodigal Son

Choreography by George Balanchine (1929)

Music by Sergei Prokofiev

This ballet takes inspiration from the biblical parable in the gospel according to St. Luke. Kochno further added dramatic material in order to underscore the themes of sin and redemption, and ends the story with the prodigal son’s return.

Square Dance

Choreography by George Balanchine (1957)

Music by Antonio Vivaldi & Arcangelo Corelli.

In Square Dance, Balanchine blended the styles of American folk dance with classical ballet. He felt that although the styles were widely different, they shared common roots. Be prepared for high spirits in this delightful Balanchine ballet.
