Alison’s passion for ballet began at the tender age of six after her first performance in The Nutcracker. From that point on, Alison focused on achieving each milestone that would point her in the direction of becoming a professional ballet dancer. She began her training at Walnut Hill School for the Arts Community Dance and was then accepted, with scholarship, into Walnut Hill’s full-time high school under the direction of Michael Owen. While at Walnut Hill, Alison performed such roles as Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Swanilda in Coppelia and the Beauty Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. During the summers she attended programs at San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Princeton Ballet and Chautauqua Institution. After graduation, Alison was offered a scholarship to attend Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Professional Division under the direction Peter Boal. While at PNB, Alison performed in various company productions including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Diamonds, A MidSummer’s Night Dream, Sleeping Beauty and Giselle.
