Daniel Cornejo

Daniel Cornejo

Daniel is a member of Ballet Arizona’s Contemporary Council. He began his journey with Ballet Arizona as a donor and member of the Prima Circle, drawn in by the company’s exceptional performance of Frida—a production that sparked a deep admiration for the artistic excellence and cultural richness Ballet Arizona brings to the community.

With a strong passion for leadership, communication and professional development, Daniel has volunteered countless hours to mentoring college students, recent graduates and young professionals as they learn to navigate the corporate and business environments, as well as the nuances of personal, professional and business relationships and communication.

As an Industrial Engineer, Daniel is currently the Strategic Reengineering Manager at American Express, where he has led strategic initiatives in supply chain for over a decade. Originally from Mexico, he holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from University TecMilenio and completed executive studies in Financial Accounting at Harvard Business School.

With a lifelong passion for dance—beginning with recreational training and competitive performances as a child—Daniel’s appreciation for ballet was shaped early on, notably inspired by the film Billy Elliot (2000). Today, he remains a champion of the arts, captivated by Ballet Arizona’s ability to deliver both classical and contemporary stunning works in a sports-driven community, while making a meaningful impact through education and outreach programs.

Beyond Ballet Arizona, Daniel serves as Treasurer of both the Equality Chamber of Commerce and the Phoenix Storm Rugby Football Club and is a board member of the Phoenix Equality Foundation. Lindsay Danto

Lindsay Danto

Growing up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Lindsay was passionate about dance and the arts from a very young age, immersing herself in various classes throughout her childhood. Inspired by her aunt, who was a soloist and principal dancer across several ballet companies on the east coast and Europe, Lindsay developed an understanding and appreciation of the societal impact of the art of dance, and its unique ability to unite people of all cultures and backgrounds. Motivated by her family’s philanthropic involvement with the Sarasota Ballet and the profound impact it had on making ballet accessible to disadvantaged communities, she felt compelled to follow in their footsteps. Upon graduating from Boston University, Lindsay delved into the fashion world and launched a self-titled collection of handbags and accessories which went on to garner recognition from British Vogue, Condé Nast, and Glamour Magazines. In 2015, she put that aside to focus on raising her twin daughters, new business endeavors, traveling, and carrying on her family’s legacy of supporting the arts and sciences.
