Summary:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing staff members to help develop, implement, and monitor marketing platforms and strategies ensure that all Ballet Arizona material and event information is available to customers through the correct channel and at the right time. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating advertising campaigns, digital marketing strategies, and targeting the demographic data of their target audience. Their work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization’s marketing strategy, and providing input on how to best reach the target market.

    • Fosters an atmosphere of belonging internally and externally, by encouraging authenticity in audience engagement, representation in marketing communication, and the celebration of diversity in creative execution.
    • Develops effective strategies to achieve Marketing objectives. Writes compelling Marketing briefs grounded in audience insights, gives clear direction to vendors and agency partners, and provides strategic creative feedback.
    • Manages CRM marketing in coordination with Box Office to record customer contact information and maintain privacy-compliant and accurate customer records.
    • Creates audience segmentations for targeted email, lead generation, nurture, and social campaigns
    • Manages social media marketing strategies and approves creative in order to engage Ballet Arizona’s digital community from content creation to paid advertising.
    • Manages Ballet Arizona social media calendar and output across platforms.
    • Manages brand reputation and online presence, including but not limited to reviews, directory listings, and free listings on prominent websites for upcoming productions
    • Oversees Ballet Arizona email calendar with the Marketing team. Creates and sustains email communications for the organization using Constant Contact.
    • Responsible for measurement and reporting on key analytics against KPI/ROI goals including website, email, paid ads, and social media.
    • Manages Ballet Arizona website including performance ticketing listings, SEO/SEM, technical problem solving with IT, and managing content across all departments.
    • Collaborates with other internal teams to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
    • Conducts market research and analyze trends to develop marketing empathy
    • Develops and creates marketing materials to ensure brand guidelines are met.
    • Ensures placement of collateral city/statewide.
    • Works with external agencies to execute marketing programs.
    • Works with other arts groups in regard to trades, stuffers, etc.
    • Establishes and maintains a photo management system and collateral archives in coordination with Marketing team.
    • Responds to general inquiries from public regarding Ballet Arizona.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of digital literacy, be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and be comfortable working with databases.
  • Must possess strong project management skills including planning, organizing, prioritizing, implementing, and evaluating.
  • Must demonstrate a high-degree of integrity, dependability, accountability, and global fluency.
  • Must demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-performance culture

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years proven experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements including traditional and digital marketing
  • Experience using marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM systems) and applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the arts preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
  • Previous experience in video editing is preferred
  • Experience with Tessitura preferred
  • Experience in the dance and/or performing arts field desirable
