Ballet AZ Blog

Last night, on December 19, Ballet Arizona celebrated our favorite holiday tradition, our Nutcracker Community Angel Night. Each season, we partner with over 80  community service organizations from across the Valley, supporting children and families in under-served neighborhoods, and open the doors to Symphony Hall so that they may celebrate the holiday season at our production of The Nutcracker free of charge!

From photos with our Sugar Plum Fairy, making crafts with Free Arts of Arizona, to clapping along with Mother Ginger and twirling around the lobby just like the ballerina’s on stage, there is nothing quite like seeing the excitement and joy on the children’s faces that fill Symphony Hall.

Here is what one attendee had to say about last night’s event:

“Thank you for giving us tickets to go to the ballet. We appreciate that gift a lot cause not [everyone] gets a gift like that, it is special and we are all very thankful for what you did, thank you.” – Andrey, 8 years old.

We extend a special thank you to all of our wonderful Ballet Arizona Angel’s who made this evening possible!
