Presentation topics can range from ballet history, notable choreographers and dancers, history of Ballet Arizona, professional development and many more. We are able to provide these services to community centers, schools, colleges/universities, libraries, retirement centers, etc. Let us share our knowledge of this art form to your organization.

January 22nd, 2025 | 11am at Ballet Arizona  The Tutu and Pointe Shoe: Explore the evolution of ballet costuming, from the romantic era’s flowing tutus to today’s sleek, high-performance designs. Witness the transformation of pointe shoes, crafted for durability and artistry. This journey highlights how innovations in ballet attire have enhanced dancers’ grace, strength, and expressive power on stage.

January 25th, 2025 | 2pm at Burton Barr Library The Revolutionary Dancers of Harlem: Come discover the revolutionary history of Dance Theatre of Harlem. Learn about the dancers who paved the way for the astonishing legacy we know today. Lydia Abarca, Gayle McKinney-Griffith, Sheila Rohan, Marcia Sells, and Karlya Shelton, also known as the Swans of Harlem, have helped shape this groundbreaking ballet company. Renowned for its diverse repertoire and inclusive approach, Dance Theatre of Harlem is celebrated for blending classical ballet with African-American cultural influences.

April 7th, 2025 | 11am at Ballet Arizona  The Five Moons: “The Five Moons” features four illustrious Native American ballet dancers, Maria Tallchief, Marjorie Tallchief, Rosella Hightower, Moscelyne Larkin, and Yvonne Chouteau. These five dancers bring their exceptional artistry and heritage to the stage, celebrating their cultural roots and pioneering contributions to ballet.
