Katherine was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Bemidji, Minnesota. She began her ballet training at First City Dance Studio, and then at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota under the direction of Daniel and Julie Blake. She then moved to Maryland when she was 16 to continue training at the Maryland Youth Ballet. Before joining the Company, Katherine danced with the Ballet Arizona Studio Company.
Some of the ballets she has performed in are Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, Raymonda, Coppélia, The Nutcracker, Walpurgisnacht, Symphony in 3 Movements, Western Symphony, and Agon.
