Ballet Arizona’s Breathtaking “Swan Lake” Returns to the Valley

Experience The Beloved Ballet Classic This October at Symphony Hall

PHOENIX – Back by popular demand, Ballet Arizona is thrilled to present Ib Andersen’s Swan Lake at Symphony Hall from Oct. 24 through 27th. This timeless story, adored by all ages, will grace the stage for the first time since 2017.

Out of all the great classics, Swan Lake remains the quintessential ballet of all time. A passionate romantic tragedy, Swan Lake depicts the heartache and woe of two doomed lovers and the evil forces that come between them. Arizonans can experience the famous ballet known for its iconic white and black swans and the glory of Tchaikovsky’s music performed live by The Phoenix Symphony

“For more than 100 years, Swan Lake has remained a classic for many reasons. It is a celebration of artistry and beauty in ballet, with its combination of storytelling, emotional expression, and skillful mastery of classical ballet technique—not to mention it’s set to one of the most beautiful music scores ever created. It’s no wonder that it holds many special memories for dancers and audiences alike,” said Daniela Cardim, the artistic director of Ballet Arizona.

In addition, Ballet Arizona will present its Studio Spotlight performance for Swan Lake on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at Ballet Arizona’s Dorrance Theater. During this add-on event, attendees can experience a behind-the-scenes look at this production as they attend an in-studio rehearsal with the dancers, learn more about the production from Ballet Arizona’s artistic team, and engage in a Q&A. Space is limited for this event and advanced purchase is encouraged.
