Great dance requires the live accompaniment of great music. Live music can open our ears, minds, and hearts in ways that recordings cannot.
Live music provided by the stellar musicians of The Phoenix Symphony constitutes one of the largest items in Ballet Arizona’s annual operating budget with the cost exceeding $400,000 each season. Live music builds our audience. Its presence or absence is felt at every performance. Investing in live music pays off in increased ticket sales and improved philanthropic support. It also creates a collaboration between two of the Valley’s largest art organizations that greatly benefits the financial health of both organizations. Please help us make sure that our orchestra does not go silent.
