Ballet Arizona’s COVID-19 Relief Fund
As the world came to a standstill due to the COVID-19, Ballet Arizona launched the Be Our Bridge Recovery & Relief Fund alongside Jacquie and Bennett Dorrance, longtime Ballet Arizona board members, arts and culture philanthropists, and community champions. The global pandemic created an unprecedented financial crisis for the ballet with performance revenue coming to a complete halt, tuition cutting in half, and donations reducing by 25%.
Understanding the challenges ahead, the Dorrances made a gift of $268,000 to help us navigate the financial crisis, providing funding to keep our dancers and staff employed and our doors open. They challenged the community to join them in raising $1,000,000 to provide Ballet Arizona a financial bridge to the other side of the pandemic. We are thrilled to announce that as of the end of our 2020-2021 season, our community came together and raised more than $1.2 million in recovery and resiliency funding.
Our journey, however, is far from over. Ballet Arizona is still in need of vital support. Join our bridge fund and ensure Ballet Arizona is here for future generations.
