From volunteers and donors to our Board of Directors and staff, you choose to spend your time with Ballet Arizona in deeply meaningful ways. That commitment has built an ecosystem here—a community woven together by those who engage with us so wholeheartedly.
Our Volunteers
Nothing brightens my day quite like the smiles of our front desk volunteers. Each day, they eagerly help us with projects and some even use their time creating beautiful artwork featuring our dancers. These dedicated volunteers staff our Nutcracker boutique each year, wrangle school buses for our student matinees, and serve as ushers for our performances at Dorrance Theatre. They handwrite birthday cards, prepare donor mailings, and do it all with cheer and appreciation.
Recently, I spoke with a former school parent and volunteer, who returned to help with youth auditions for The Nutcracker. Her experience was so rewarding that she sent a note to thank us for the joy and memories it brought back into her life!
Our dedicated volunteers help relieve our staff from their varying responsibilities, and save thousands of dollars in personnel costs each season. This allows us to direct more resources toward the performances and programs that exemplify our mission.
Our Board
This year marks a milestone: the largest board in our history with 29 passionate members. They devote their time and expertise to charting our future, advancing our strategic plan, and serving as ambassadors. Their commitment is extraordinary, because a board role is one of the most demanding volunteer positions one could undertake. These special individuals believe Ballet Arizona is vital to the cultural fabric of our community, and they give so much of themselves to ensure our vibrant future.

For the first time since the pandemic, we are fully staffed—with 34 company dancers and professionals across artistic, production, box office, philanthropy, marketing, school, and community education. Together, they work tirelessly to create the transformative experiences you cherish and make the impossible possible.
